SOUTH COTABATO — Extending mobility assistance and improving the quality of life for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), a total of 23 wheelchairs were successfully turned over to beneficiaries from Polomolok, South Cotabato and General Santos City on January 23, 2026.
The joint outreach initiative was spearheaded by Dole Philippines, Inc., Kasilak Development Foundation, Inc. (KDFI), and Mahintana Foundation, Inc., in partnership with CI-Philippines and Free Wheelchair Mission and in close coordination with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Polomolok.
Expanding Mobility & Social Inclusion
The turnover ceremony marked the first phase of a broader distribution program aimed at addressing the physical mobility needs of indigent community members. The remaining allocated wheelchair units are scheduled for distribution to identified beneficiaries in the Municipality of Tupi and the Municipality of Surallah.
By collaborating with local government units and social development partners, the initiative ensures that essential assistive devices reach vulnerable individuals, enabling greater independence and integration within their communities.
