The Banana Export Industry Foundation (BEIF)—foundation arm of the Pilipino Banana Growers and Exporters Association (PBGEA)—formally welcomed its new scholars for SY 2025 during the Memorandum of Agreement signing held on July 26, 2025, at Rancho Palos Verdes Clubhouse, Davao City. The event was attended by the scholars, their parents, and representatives from PBGEA, BEIF, and member-banana companies.
Among the selected scholars, Dole Philippines, Inc. (Stanfilco Division) accounted for five of the 15 high school slots and three of the four college slots. The scholars were chosen from nearly 100 participants during a qualifying exam on May 17, 2025. Each scholar will receive education assistance under the scholarship program.
To date, PBGEA-BEIF has supported over 70 legal dependents of Dole-Stanfilco workers and growers.
