September 6, 2024 – The Kasilak and Dole-Stanfilco team, represented by Mr. Wilfred Oville, Jr. (Kasilak BOT member & Dole-Stanfilco CSR/EE Manager), Mr. Jobe C. Tubigon (Kasilak Executive Director) and Ms. Novee Wila Rafaela (Kasilak ASP Program Officer), paid a courtesy visit to BGen Patricio RP Amata PA at the 1002nd Infantry Brigade Camp in Malungon, Sarangani Province.

During this visit, Kasilak shared exciting updates on the ongoing partnership between Kasilak, Dole-Stanfilco, and the 512th Engineering Construction Battalion (ECBn), part of the 1002nd Infantry Brigade. Among the partnership initiatives include the construction of school buildings and day care center in North Cotabato and handwashing facilities in select schools in Bukidnon, which the 512th ECBn provided labor counterparts. BGen Amata expressed his appreciation for these community development programs of Dole-Stanfilco and Kasilak, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts towards collective impact, especially in helping improve community living conditions.

Aside from the project updating, the purpose of the visit was also to handover various school supplies to the Bagwis Day Care Center in Malandag , Malungon which the 1002nd Infantry Brigade has been requesting support from Kasilak and Dole-Stanfilco to improve the learning condition of the Day Care Center. Although there were no learners present during the visit, the items included hand soaps from Clean the World and books from Brothers Brother Foundation through Children International Philippines, Inc., and interactive learning materials from Dole Korea Ltd. The 1002nd IB will handover the school items to the Day Care Center on September 9, 2024 as committed during the visit.
