Water is life!
May 22 is a meaningful day for Kasilak Development Foundation, Inc. and Dole-Stanfilco as they formally turned over the four units of Banga Pinoy or ferrocement water tanks they donated to different communities in Brgy. Casisang, Malaybalay, Bukidnon.
Residents of Sitios Sto. Niño, Gabunan Proper, Upper Gabunan and Regla, all situated at elevated portion of the locality, used to fetch water at neighboring but distant barangays, in between the regular ration of the company. For decades, convenient and adequate access to water were just in their wish list. Until today.
The formal turnover was facilitated in a simple ceremony led by the Dole-Stanfilco HR-EE/CSR team led by HR Manager Jong Oville and the Kasilak Foundation led by its new Executive Director Jobe Tubigon.
The entire Brgy. Casisang council, led by Brgy. Capt. Gregorio Jaroy, gratefully receive with joy in behalf of the 320 household-beneficiaries the 4 units of Banga Pinoy. These are part of the 11 units newly-constructed for various communities in Bukidnon, while about 15 units remain in the pipeline for the rest of the year.
