From June to September this year, Dole-Stanfilco, in partnership with Kasilak Development Foundation, Inc., extended meaningful support to 38 public schools across Mindanao. This initiative reached students and teachers in Bukidnon, Malaybalay City, Davao City, Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Maragusan, North Cotabato, and South Cotabato.

Aside from its Adopt-a-School Program, Dole-Stanfilco has been actively supporting DepEd Philippines in its Brigada Eskwela program since 1999.

Each school received assistance based on their needs, aligned with DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela Packages. The support included:

• Painting and Beautification

• Repair and Maintenance

• Gardening and Landscaping

• Electrical & Lighting

• Technology & Digital Learning

• Teachers’ Kits

This initiative directly benefitted more than 20,000 students—ensuring they return to school with safer, more inspiring spaces to learn and grow. It also gave 182 teachers a much-needed boost, equipping them with resources that will ease daily tasks and support their commitment to quality education.

All schools have expressed their deep appreciation to Dole-Stanfilco and Kasilak for their generous support, recognizing them as vital stakeholders in their journey. With their limited Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE), many schools struggle to meet all their needs. The support received allowed them to redirect their budgets to other equally important needs.

The painting materials helped preserve the facilities and brighten schools, encouraging students to go to school with excitement. Additionally, the schools that received one unit of printer were especially grateful. Some had only one printer for the entire faculty, often requiring teachers to use personal resources to meet reporting deadlines. With the additional printer now available, report submission has become more efficient and manageable. The repairs on buildings, improvements in lighting, and landscaping efforts helped create a safer, more nurturing environment where students can learn freely, without fear of harm.

Brigada Eskwela 2025 is a reminder of what we can build together—when companies, communities, and schools unite with a shared goal. It wasn’t just about fixing walls or repainting chairs; it was about creating spaces where children feel safe, inspired, and cared for. Every brushstroke, every tool, every gesture of support helped breathe life back into these schools—and hope into the hearts of those who walk through them each day.

Hats off to everyone who made this possible—from the teams at Dole-Stanfilco and Kasilak to the volunteers, teachers and school staff. Your commitment continues to plant seeds of hope and opportunity across generations.
