(KDFI), DOLE Stanfilco, and the Mapawa Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) proudly spearheaded a successful tree-growing activity at Lower Dapongpong Creek this morning, in celebration of the Municipal Arbor Day. The collaborative initiative underscored the growing commitment of various sectors in Maragusan towards ecological preservation and re-greening efforts.
The morning saw enthusiastic participants from KDFI, DOLE Stanfilco, and the Mapawa BLGU converge at Lower Dapongpong Creek. Armed with seedlings of various native species, spades, and a shared vision for a greener future, volunteers meticulously planted trees along the creek banks. The activity, held under the cloudy skies of Maragusan, aimed to rehabilitate the riparian ecosystem of Lower Dapongpong Creek, enhance biodiversity, and contribute to local climate change mitigation efforts.
