Promoting Hygiene and Learning: A community Initiative:

In a concerted effort to promote health and education, turnover activities were launched at different schools located in the Municipality of Maragusan, Davao de Oro, Philippines to turnover Handwashing Facilities and distribute Hygiene Kits, Soaps, Hygiene Kits, and Learners’ Kits. The initiative aims to improve hygiene practices, prevent the spread of diseases, and enhance educational opportunities of young learners.

Handwashing is a simple yet effective way of preventing the transmission of germs and diseases. By providing Handwashing facilities and Hand Soaps, the initiative is empowering students and teachers to take control of their health. The hygiene kits contain essential items providing individuals with the necessary tools for maintaining good personal hygiene and the learner’s kits include educational materials necessary in supporting students in their academic pursuits.

This turnover initiative has the potential to significantly impact the health and well-being of the school communities as well as the learning practices of students and teachers of the partner schools. These facilities and kits can reduce the incidences of diseases particularly among children who are more susceptible to infections.
