As a proud grantee of Google Workspace for Non-profits, Kasilak Development Foundation, Inc. conducts staff mentoring/upskilling sessions on the utilization/optimization of Google Workspace to improve organizational and program management, including data management. collaboration and visualization/analytics. During the mentoring sessions, the staff (especially the area coordinators) were introduced to the very useful, powerful, secured and feature-rich apps of Google Workspace to include Gmail (housing the Kasilak’s business email), Google Drive (database/storage, 100 TB), Google Sheets (data collab/database), Google Docs (data collab), Looker Studio (data analytics), and Google Earth (digital mapping). With these apps, the respective area coordinators and other staff were able to upload and organize their files (documents, photos for their respective projects/areas) neatly and with ease of accessibility and data collaboration from other/among staff. Sample data from the projects such as the schools being adopted and provided with learning materials under the Adopt-A-School Program, the number of trees planted and maintained under the Community Tree Growing and Adopt-A-Site (Forest/Park/River/Mangrove) projects are analyzed and visualized using Looker Studio and Google Sheets. Program/project interventions/areas which were not being mapped out before (10-15 years ago) can now be digitally mapped out using Google Earth (online) and Looker Studio. With these, the staff are very appreciative of the mentoring/upskilling sessions as these will not only improve their technical skills in program/data management/monitoring/analytics but also help them to become future-ready.
Kudos Team!
